Our Lockport Resource Center has the Transformation Scholarship which is a unique opportunity to support our residents of the Lockport area who are looking to further their education and change their story. Each year, the scholarship awards $1,000 to a resident of Lockport or Homer Township. This includes Fairmont, Lockport, Homer Glen as well as parts of Crest Hill, Joliet, and Romeoville.

Applicants are invited to share how continuing their education will help transform their story and make a meaningful difference in their lives. The program accepts the pursuing of education at any level, including traditional colleges, junior colleges, trade schools, or programs that lead to new opportunities.

Applications Form is below and are submitted by email to lockportresource@gmail.com and should include the applicant's contact information, the school they plan to attend, and their intended field of study.

Funded entirely through the efforts of the Lockport Resource Center, mainly through the Annual Bicycle Drive Event in May. We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, the Transformation Scholarship reflects the organization's commitment to empowering local residents through education and opportunity.
